I know it seems like the holidays just finished, but Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. If you’re looking for a quick gift, but still want something with a little extra touch, then Dogeared is the way to go. Christmas is a little over a week away and I have not done any shopping yet. I’ve been too busy packing up the many orders we have had going out in the last couple weeks! If you’re like me and you like to wait until the last minute, here are a couple of ideas to get you going. If you live in the western part of the country, I would definitely recommend upgrading your shipping to make sure it gets to you in time. • Amy Peters – Amy has proved especially popular this holiday season. I love For Your Thoughts, with its little mini penny.

Thanksgiving is a week away and we all know what that means…spending time with your loved ones, maybe a little football, and of course, overeating all of the wonderful Thanksgiving foods. Besides all of those things, you also have the official start of the holiday season! We never like to jump the gun on pushing the holidays on you too early, but here are some suggestions to get you thinking about it. A few of these require a few weeks to come in because of the nature of what goes in to them, so make sure to get your orders in early!

We have a bunch of new rings in the shop from our perennial favorites Anne Sportun and Todd Reed. We had a great trunk show with Anne Sportun a few weeks ago and at the end of it we picked up 2 new diamond slice rings in yellow gold. The one pictured is 1.63 carat oval rose cut white/gray diamond set in 18k yellow gold. This ring is amazing in person. We also have another 1.59 greenish/gray diamond slice set in 18k yellow. They are both stunning! Ranjeet was in Boulder last week and never misses the opportunity to pay our friends at Todd Reed a visit when he’s in town. He came home with 3 awesome rings. One is the r480 style with a beautiful, white/gray center diamond set in palladium. The other 2 are in the similar r481 style (same as the r480, just a thinner band). We have a great one set in yellow gold and another greenish/dark gray diamond set in palladium. Look for all of them to be up on the site by the end of the week!

This week from Thursday through Saturday, we will be hosting a trunk show featuring the stunning handmade jewelry from designer Anne Sportun. Barbara Kelly, Anne’s longtime friend and business partner, will be visiting us for three days, bringing with her countless examples from the Sportun collection, including those never before carried in our gallery! Beginning with a preview on Thursday, October 13th from 4-7pm, lasting all day Friday, October 14th (10am-8pm) and ending on Saturday, October 15th at 5pm, Barb, as well as our staff will be available to show you some of Anne’s most popular styles. She’ll also be bringing along some unique, one of a kind pieces sure to take your breath away. During our last minute trip to Las Vegas a month ago, we picked up a few new artists, including Heather Moore Jewelry. HMJ has been on our radar for awhile and we finally took the plunge in Vegas. Heather Moore started as a jewelry enamel artist, but on a whim made a stamped piece that caught the attention of buyers and clients alike. As they say, the rest is history and now Heather’s hand-stamped keepsake jewelry is a staple among savvy jewelry buyers. Since each individual letter and image is stamped by hand, everything is custom and personalized to you. I fell in love with the line, so I made a necklace for myself to wear. Mine has a few components. I went with a large ID tag like the one pictured featuring the latitude and longitude of the house my grandparents owned for 60 years with their initials on the back. I added a large silver key with my initial, plus another small circle charm framed in green gold with my and my brothers’ initials. It’s sentimental and keeps my family close to me even though we’re scattered across the country. We also created a piece for Rori, featuring all the birth details of her son, Jonas. Name, date, weight, length, time of birth – it’s all on there and a really special piece. That’s the great thing about Heather Moore Jewelry; whether you’re commemorating a special time in your life, your children, a marriage, it’s all there, preserved in an heirloom you can pass on for generations. Hi all! So sorry for the huge lapse in time since our last post, but we have busy here at Artfully Elegant. The biggest thing we’ve been working on? We’re redesigning the website! All of your favorite parts of the current AE site will still be there, but it’s better looking, better performing, and much easier to use. All of us have been hard at work on it for the last few months and it’s about to come to fruition shortly. We’re hoping *fingers crossed* that’s it’s up in the next week, so keep checking back for the launch! Notice any bugs or something isn’t working right? Please send us an email and let us know! We have lots of new jewelry in the shop and online, including Amy Peters of Amy Peter’ Studio. I’m really excited about Amy’s jewelry. It’s inscribed inspirational jewelry, but it’s short and sweet and to the point. If you’re looking for a quick gift with a simple sentiment, Amy is definitely the way to go. I think my favorite is the Life is a Journey necklace that’s pictured, but Sweet Pea is also very, well, sweet. Her bracelets are also very beautiful. Check out the Within You bracelet. On one side, it’s a simple heart and on the other side it says “You already have it within you.” It’s perfect when you need a little extra encouragement for yourself, but maybe don’t want everyone to see it. All of Amy’s jewelry is made with sterling silver that’s been given a matte finish, so they’re very wearable and perfect for everyday. Artfully Elegant, in conjunction with Lehigh Valley Style Magazine, is very pleased to announce our trunk show with Todd Reed. On Saturday, May 14th, Todd Reed’s wholesale manager and long time colleague, Kim Carpenter, will be on hand at Artfully Elegant with over 300 pieces never before seen in our gallery. In addition to completed designs from all of their collections, Kim is going to bring a variety of loose diamonds you can design a custom ring around or put them in a setting of your choice. Been lusting after a Todd Reed design to call your own? Now is the best time to make it a reality. Kim and our staff will be in the gallery throughout the day, but the real fun is from 5-9pm that night. Joining with the lovely ladies at Style and playing on Todd’s theme of “Raw Diamonds, Raw Elegance,” we will feature sushi from Kome, Japanese beer from Kirin Ichiban, and champagne for all to enjoy.
